Toby Keith is coming to Prince George, Toby Keith is coming to Prince George.
It is an announcement that bears repeating. Few country artists of this size have ventured into northern B.C. while still this hot in their career. Keith is pounding out hits and even movies these days, making him one of the brightest stars on tour anywhere.
Appearing with him Oct. 5 at CN Centre are two of Canada's current favourites. Aaron Pritchett and Jessie Farrell are both solo stars out of Vancouver who have done nothing but climb since launching their careers and are now both veterans of the Canadian concert scene and darlings of radio.
Keith is one of radio's most prolific performers ever. His latest album is a 35-song greatest hits disc with the new single “She’s A Hottie”. He also has his own movie out called Beer For My Horses, themed on his song of the same name.
Keith has had 23 No. 1 singles, with his latest release, “She never Cried In Front Of Me” racing up the charts. Keith has sold over 31 million albums and was recently honoured by BMI for 50 million spins as a songwriter, putting him in the same company as other legendary performers, Elton John, the Bee Gees and John Lennon.
Toby Keith’s 2007 album, Big Dog Daddy, debuted at No. 1 slot on the Billboard album chart and produced the No. 1 single “Love Me If You Can” as well as chart toppers “High Maintenance Woman” & “Get My Drink On”. Other hits include “A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action”, “Wish I Didn’t Know Now”, “Should’ve Been A Cowboy”, “As Good As I Once Was”, “Beer For My Horses” and the title track to his multi-platinum release How Do You Like Me Now.
Besides writing and starring in Beer For My Horses alongside Ted Nugent and Rodney Carrington, Keith also starred in the 2006 film Broken Bridges with Kelly Preston. He recently opened Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill restaurants in Oklahoma City, Las Vegas and North Kansas City.
Tickets go on sale at the CN Centre box office and Studio 2880 on Saturday.
