Click to see map RCMP divers reached a depth of 130 feet in Moose Lake near Valemount Wednesday, but still found no evidence of the ultralight that crashed there Monday afternoon.
"(They) were unable to locate the aircraft or the pilot," said North District RCMP spokesman Const. Craig Douglass. "Today the RCMP dive team will be back in Moose Lake using sonar equipment in an attempt to locate the plane and pilot."
Early indications are that the ultralight might be in water as deep as 250 feet.
"Apparently the visibility below about 60 feet is zero, and below that everything is by touch and feel for the divers," Douglass said, which is why the sonar imaging equipment might be more helpful than the underwater camera.

Valemount RCMP, aided by Jasper National Park personnel and resources, have been leading the effort to find the missing mini-aircraft, which is believed to have one person on board.
A witness described seeing the ultralight flying Monday just after noon over Moose Lake in Mount Robson Provincial Park when suddenly it went into a sharp downward spiral and hit the lake, sinking quickly.
"We believe we know who the pilot is, we are in contact with family members, we just have to do some investigative things to be thorough and make sure 100 per cent," Douglass said.
