In all my years living in Prince George I find that the last couple of years all the city streets have been getting little or no attention and are in pretty poor condition. What happened to the days when properly repairing a city street meant repaving it? There is so much patching going on that you don't know where the street and the ditch meet. We live in Beaverly, just off of Hartman Road. There are only about five houses on this road but it's used by about three different subdivisions (and a business, rod and gun club). Anyone who has been down this road knows the shape it is in. We have lived off Hartman Road for just over six years now. Every year we call the city a few times and they come and do some patch work which gets pounded out in about two months. This road is literally coming apart. It even has grass growing in the cracks. I was wondering if maybe they are not getting enough taxes from the five homes to fix it? The road is the city limit boundary and the west side of the road is rural. Our sideraods are looked after by YRB and are in great shape. I was just wondering if the city could possibly move the city limits about 25 feet closer to town so that we could get our Hartman Road looked after by YRB, then I know it will get fixed and last for a number of years rather than just two months. -- Jackie Florell Prince George
