City should consider turn lanes on Second and Fourth Print E-mail

If city council is recommending changing both Second and Fourth avenues to two-lane traffic, I would like to suggest they seriously consider putting in turn lanes or don't bother.
The decision to change Third and Victoria did not help the traffic flow but rather the opposite. Sometimes traffic is backed up all the way to Vancouver Street because no turn lanes were added to the equation. No one can get through the light if another car is trying to turn. It's a mess.
The idea is to make things run more smoothly for all users, not just visitors, who now have time to read their maps.
