Long time owner of Prince George Motors Ken Antonenko finalized the sale of the dealership to Craig Wood, co-owner of Wood Wheaton this week.
Antonenko, who owned the company for 38 years, said that there was no specific reason for the sale.
"It's one of those times that I had no intention or any indication of selling the company until Craig Wood came along and we had a discussion," he said. "And by the time it was all over, we had come to an agreement that would work out just fine for both of us."
Wood said he feels the same way regarding the deal. "It's a great group of people here and we plan to just carry on the excellent business that's been carried on here since 1917."
Antonenko said that he has no regrets about the sale. "It's going to be good for my family, for the brand, for Mr. Wood and his group, the staff," he said. "There are times when a deal goes together and it's good for all parties involved and that's how this one went."
Both Wood and Antonenko agreed the only change being made to the company is a change in ownership.

You always hear change is good for all including employees.
I have seen many many changes like this that brought changes in who still works for these businesses after the dust settles.
