Re: Newspaper biased against climate-change truth (letter in July 18 Citizen). I enjoyed Nick Chapman's letter with respect to kidney stones and Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW). It made me think of the two major gases that are being proclaimed to cause AGW. Water vapour causes about 95 per cent of the effect. CO2 is blamed and certain scientists suggest that it increased the effect of water vapour. When you turn your furnace on in the winter, the products of combustion are water vapour and carbon dioxide. Since B.C. is intent on fighting climate change, maybe everyone in Prince George should shut their furnaces off this winter and wear parkas 24/7 so you can all join in the fight to reduce greenhouse gases and petrochemical use (Natural Gas and Heating Oil). And me? I will stay warm beside my boreal forest wood eating fireplace. As boreal forests are net emitters of CO2, I am doing my part to reduce CO2 emissions by burning wood. -- Wayne Delbeke Rocky Mountain House, Alta.
