QUEBEC - Nova Scotia Premier Rodney MacDonald says he plans to host a conference for Canada's energy and environment ministers by the end of September.
Canadian premiers agreed to the conference at the wrap of the Council of the Federation meeting in Quebec City today.
MacDonald says the focus will be on making people more aware of how they can save money by becoming more energy efficient, and opt for green technologies.
MacDonald says the premiers agreed that the energy issue is the most important one facing people across the country.
The premier says there is little governments can do to lower the price of fuel, but they can inform people how to use less fuel or electricity, and lower their costs.
