Re: local Little League team being allowed to play at provincials.
We would like to thank Brian Kelly and Wayne Hobson for making the effort to do the right thing in regards to the 11-12- year-old LTN Construction All Star team's participation in the 2008 BC Little League Provincials.
Also thank you to Prince George Citizen staff, Jim Swanson and Jason Peters, for writing the story regarding the situation and the follow up story.
We are also very grateful for the support given to us by the parents of the Prince George Cap-Abilities All Stars. Your support is appreciated and will not be forgotten! You are topnotch!
A big thank you to the parents of our team. We all strongly believed that the decision to remove our team from the tournament was wrong. Your support to the boys and by writing emails and voicing your opinion to the proper authorities proved that if you truly believe in something, you have to fight for what you believe.
Now I see why our group of 13 boys have so much desire and passion for the game of baseball.
I hope the community of Prince George will support these two teams in the B.C. Little League Tournament that runs from July 18 -27th.
