LIMA, Peru - Officials in Peru say a magnitude-6.2 earthquake killed a 93-year-old man and injured at least four others.

The U.S. Geological Service says the quake occurred around 4:13 a.m. local time in southern Peru. Officials say the man died after a wall of his house collapsed on him.

A fire department spokesman says two workers at a fireworks factory suffered burns as they fled the building in a panic, and an explosion destroyed the building.

A massive magnitude-eight earthquake hit Peru last August, killing more than 500 people and destroying more than 40,000 homes.
