BURLINGTON, Ont. - A 45-year-old Burlington, Ont., woman is charged with abduction after a six-year-old girl was allegedly taken from her home.
Halton Regional police say a woman approached another woman on Monday asking if her daughter could come to her townhouse complex to play.
The mother refused because she didn't know the woman.
However, say police, the woman returned about 15 minutes later and neighbours saw her leading the child away.
They say the girl's mother and her husband went to the woman's home, located their daughter and called police.
Anne Dushney is charged with abduction and is scheduled to appear at a bail hearing today.
