VANCOUVER - The Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union says it has reached a tentative contract with Canfor's pulp mill in Prince George, B.C.
A spokeswoman for the union says if the agreement with Canfor (TSX:CFP) is ratified it will set the pattern for pulp operations across B.C.
Karen Cooling says the union's pulp caucus unanimously approved the tentative four-year deal on Sunday.
She says an information meeting will be held this week and a ratification vote is expected sometime next week.
Cooling says the union will be recommending (TSX:CFP) workers in Prince George approve the pact.
She says it's a fair offer and it includes a good wage increase, considering circumstances in the industry.
