NORTH DISTRICT RCMPPRINCE GEORGE REGIONAL HOSPITAL
A head-on collision late Saturday night on Highway 16 West near West Beaverly Road resulted in the deaths of three people, North District RCMP traffic services reported. All three were in an eastbound car that crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a westbound pickup truck, RCMP Cst. Madonna Saunderson said in a news release. The three were pronounced dead at the scene while the driver and lone occupant of the pickup truck was transported to Prince George Regional Hospital with undetermined but non-life-threatening injuries. Erratic driving and alcohol are being considered as factors in the collision and two of the car's three occupants were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected upon impact, Saunderson said. As of Sunday afternoon, the names of the deceased had not been released pending notification of the next of kin. RCMP were called to the scene at 10:43 p.m. and the highway was closed in both directions for more than eight hours following the collision.

It seems to say something about using your seatbelt though,
it keeps you inside instead of under!
