Prince George armwrestler Dan Gallo led a Prince George contingent last weekend at the Williams Lake Stampede, adding four more wins to what is shaping into a stellar season for the 24-year-old.
Gallo, coming off a pair of wins at the Best in the West tournament in Red Deer in May, won with both hands in the 154-pound division and in the overall class.
He is still undefeated this season.
"Hopefully it doesn't change at provincials and nationals," said Gallo, a member of the Prince George Iron Arms Club.
Teammate Darcy Goodkey had a pair of wins last weekend in the 175- and 198-pound classes while heavyweight Brian Gabriel won with his left and placed second with his right hand. Goodkey's son Tyler won the children's division.
Gallo, Gabriel and Goodkey have a month to prepare for the provincial championships on the August long weekend in Kelowna.
The national championships are in Moose Jaw on the September long weekend. The top two Canadians in each division move on to the world championships, hosted by Kelowna in the fall.
