LOS ANGELES - Hollywood producers say they will meet with the Screen Actors Guild less than a week after the union rejected what the producers alliance called its final contract offer.
The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers says the union requested the Wednesday meeting without disclosing the topic.
SAG spokeswoman Pamela Greenwalt confirmed the meeting but declined further comment.
The producers say they agreed to meet out of respect for SAG membership and continue to call on union leaders to accept the contract offer that would provide $250 million in additional compensation over three years.
