LONDON - Madame Tussauds unveiled a waxwork of Amy Winehouse on Wednesday complete with her signature beehive, black eyeliner and a bright yellow minidress.

Winehouse's hair and five-inch black heels make the model nearly six feet tall. The wax Winehouse's dress resembles one that the singer wore to the BRIT music awards in 2007, when she won best female solo artist.

Her sailor-inspired tattoos are lovingly reproduced, including a lightning bolt, horseshoe and pin-up girls on her arms.

The singer's parents, Mitch and Janis Winehouse, attended the unveiling, but the 24-year-old soul diva did not. Her father said she was working and would see the waxwork in the next few weeks.

"This is the reward for her musical achievements and her talent," Mitch Winehouse said, adding the model bears an "incredible" likeness to his daughter.

This is the first time Tussauds has made a model of Winehouse, which joins other celebrities' including likenesses of Madonna and Justin Timberlake.

Winehouse has become an international star since she released the Grammy-winning album "Back to Black" in 2006. But her music has been overshadowed by reports of drug use, her run-ins with the law and her tempestuous relationship with husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

Fielder-Civil was sentenced Monday to 27 months in prison for assault and obstruction of justice. Fielder-Civil has admitted beating up a pub manager in a barroom fight in 2006 and then offering him $400,000 to keep quiet about it.
