The local British Auto Club will be holding its third annual vintage car show Sunday. "The first year we had 60 cars. Last year we had 92 cars," said club president Ken Turner, who hopes to have more vehicles this year. The show will be held on May 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Princess Auto parking lot. All cars made prior to 1983 are invited. Turner said the reason for the pre-1983 date is because cars have to be a certain age before they can be considered vintage. While there may be an age restriction, there's no restriction as to what type of car can be entered. There are only 15 cars in the club, so they welcome all entries. "We had 17 antique bikes last year," Turner said. "We're growing every year." Turner said he even had a couple from Kitimat join his club after they came to the show. Even if your car isn't complete, it's still welcome in the show. Turner said it could be four wheels and an engine and they would still welcome it. "We want people to see what the cars have to go through." There is no entry fee for the cars to enter and Turner would like to keep it that way. "We are a non-profit organization," he said. There is also no admission for those wishing to attend. Each year the club has a different sponsor to run a concession for visitors. In previous years it's been run by various dry grad committees. This year, Princess Auto will be manning the concession with all proceeds going to the SPCA.
