Visions Electronics is essentially a home theatre paradise, which features a host of flat panels TVs that customers can sample while relaxing in a massage chair or reclining theatre seat.
"Video's our main one (specialty)," said store manager Jason Kadonaga. "Video and car audio."
The store also features laptop computers, DVD players, portable audio/video devices, digital cameras, cell phones, stereos and MP3 players.
The new store -- located at 6333 Southridge Ave. -- is 11,300 square feet and employs 22 people.
The old store was 10,000 square feet and staffed by about 15 employees.
The grand opening will feature deals on merchandise, prizes, children's activities and a barbecue.
Proceeds from the barbecue will go towards the local branch of the SPCA.
"Tons is happening," Kadonaga said.
Visions Electronics is a privately-owned company that started in Calgary in 1981. There are 26 outlets in Western Canada. Check www.visions.ca for more information.
