Beware Of Bill C-51 Print E-mail

IN STORY

How many of you are aware that our "representatives" in Ottawa have already passed the first reading of Bill C-51?  How many of you have never heard of this proposed new legislation?

Bill C-51, if passed, will remove about 70% of the natural therapeutic supplements that you and I take on a daily basis and put them into the same category as pharmaceuticals. You will need a prescription from a Doctor to get them and a pharmacy to dispense them. It's not too far of a leap to figure out how much more these natural substances are going to cost us all, simply by factoring in dispensing fees alone.

Imagine if you will, going to the drugstore to buy some Cold FX only to be told you can't have any without a prescription. That's exactly what Bill C-51 will do.

Our Federal Health Minister says this new legislation is to protect us all. I say that's a pile of bull pucky.  This to me smells of MPs cozying up to big pharma. Natural supplements are a 2 Billion industry that these pharmaceutical companies want for themselves.

I am going to be telling my MP (are you listening Dick?) that I DO NOT approve of you voting for Bill C-51. I encourage others to do the same.

I'll be in your movement. The natrual food store alone charges you an arm and a leg for the medication. Not to mention that natural pathic medications do not always work so on that alone I would not even dare pay a drug store for something that may or may not work.
