LETHBRIDGE, Alta - A Lethbridge man is now facing a manslaughter charge after the victim in an assault died from his injuries.

Lethbridge RCMP say the victim initially seemed to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the May 4 attack.

But on Friday, 53-year-old Rodney Arndt was rushed to hospital and died the next day.

Police say the death resulted from the initial attack and have upgraded the charges against the 45-year-old suspect.

Charles Poulsen will next appear in court on Tuesday to face one count of manslaughter.
