KELOWNA, B.C. - A grieving Kelowna family has been reunited with their mother's ashes following a search by family members Saturday.

The Thompson and Webster families say they were devastated Friday after finding their truck with Elaine Thompson's ashes had been stolen.

The stolen vehicle and ashes were located by a family member in a Rutland neighbourhood.

Relieved family members gathered for her memorial service a short time later.

Thompson lost her battle with cancer last week.

No word on any arrest in connection to the theft. (CHBC)
