Postal union boycott an irony

I note that the executive of the Canadian Postal Workers has asked us to boycott Israeli products to show support for the Palestinian cause in Gaza. How ironic that a union would oppose the only democracy in the Middle East that respects workers' rights by allowing collective bargaining, the right to organize and strike. I wonder if they will boycott Chinese products if the Dalai Lama or some other representative of Tibet asked them to do so.
