PEOPLE ACTION COMMITTEE
This week I attended my first meeting of PACHA (People's Action Committee for Healthy Air). The guest speaker was Dr. Marie Hay, a respected Prince George pediatrician. Dr. Hay described the route of sulphur compounds and heavy metals from the air we breathe into the deepest recesses of our lungs and into our blood stream. Most of us long-term city residents know that we have a serious air quality problem. For our health, and the health of our children and grandchildren we must all begin to demand the right to live in a clean and green Prince George. The next PACHA meeting is June 10 at the Raven's Haven, across the street from the Ramada Hotel downtown Prince George. -- Sandi Kubert Prince George
