IN-STORY NEWS
On Monday around 4:30 I was walking up Foothills Boulevard, thoroughly enjoying my walk when I noticed a white vehicle had stopped up the road and a black pickup did a U-turn and was headed straight for me. I wondered what the heck is going on.
As the truck neared me a woman waved and said there’s a bear. He was a beautiful big black bear out for a stroll along the road the animals use to cross Foothills.
Quite quickly our paths would definitely have crossed. I want to thank the young couple for their incredible thoughtfulness and kindness in coming to warn me and give me a ride. People like you are one of the reasons I love Prince George.
It’s also reminded me to be more mindful as I walk in the homes of my animal friends.
